THE REALITIES OF HIS POWER

POWER BELONGS TO GOD

There’s no doubt that absolute power belongs to God Almighty (Psalm 62:11). The totality of His power is further made known in Colossians 1:16-17. That Scripture underscores the fact that even principalities were created by God and for His own glory.

This is quite profound. We saw that scripture play out in the life of Pharaoh because He would not let God’s people go. So, God made Pharaoh a principality for His own glory (Exodus 10:1-2).

Beloved, there are times in our lives when it appears that we’ve come unstuck due to the threats posed by powers that are akin to principalities. In such moments, it is important to be reminded that absolute power belongs to God alone including His ability to unseat kings and oppositions against His people (Daniel 2:21).

WHEN GOD MOVES

Are you currently threatened by the activities of principalities and powers in high places?

Well, let not your heart be troubled because God is able to make an open show of powers and principalities (Colossians 2:14-15). Here are a few things that can happen when God begins to manifest the realities of His Power (Daniel 2:21).

  • He changes the times and seasons. And causes us to find fulfillment in the new opportunities He is creating.
  • He installs new authorities that will favour His children. This is crucial for us to enjoy God’s promises on earth.
  • He gives divine wisdom to direct our affairs. Knowing God’s perfect will for our lives ensures that we do not waste time and make costly mistakes (Ephesians 5:15-17).

HE MAKES US DREAMERS

“And when the Lord turns again the captivity of Zion …” (Psalms 126:1). One such dreamer who eventually lived to experience the realities of God’s power even though in captivity was Daniel.

Daniel lived in Babylon at a time when principalities had free rein over that territory including being able to withhold answers to prayers offered to God through fasting (Daniel 10:12-13).

Nevertheless Daniel persisted in righteous living and found favour and divine wisdom from God that resulted in his ability to interpret the dream of the king (Daniel 2:23-48).

So, the realities of God’s power were manifested through Daniel thereby causing him to enjoy divine promotion in Babylon. You too can be like Daniel today. HAPPY NEW MONTH!
