July marks the midpoint of the year — a good moment to stop, assess, and recalibrate. Not with shame over unmet goals, but with grace. Where were you in January, and where are you now? What has God done that you have not yet acknowledged? Before we look forward, let us look back with gratitude. It is easy to focus on what has not happened yet and miss the evidence of what already has. God has been faithful — take a moment to see it.
If the first half of the year did not go as planned, you are in good company. Life rarely respects our timelines. But God is not grading you on your productivity — He is shaping you in the process. What matters is not how far you have come by July, but whose hand you are holding as you go. The gaps between your intentions and your reality are not signs of failure — they are invitations to depend on grace more deeply than self-effort.
The second half of the year is still full of possibility. Goals can be revisited, directions adjusted, relationships repaired, habits rebuilt. Paul did not write "I have arrived" — he wrote "I press on." That posture of forward movement, with humility and with hope, is what I want for every one of us heading into August and beyond. You have not missed your moment. God is still writing your story, and He has never once lost the plot.
Press on, dear friend. The One who started this work in you is faithful to complete it — and the second half belongs to Him.
